3 Of Cups

Named after a Tarot card symbolizing the gathering of loved ones, “3 of Cups” is headed by Jessica Ryan and Coley Jackson, a dynamic duo focused on wedding planning and artistic direction respectively, including design and floral services. As a boutique company, 3 of Cups works with clients to realize their unique vision, ranging from the more traditional to such eclectic stylings as a “celestial punk-rock” themed wedding. The company offers levels of support, and the option to add à la carte services such as day-of staffing, audiovisual, and lighting design.

Blue Sparrow Events

Specializing in “modern and romantic weddings,” Blue Sparrow offers both full and partial planning services, as well as wedding day management. Based in Austin, the boutique planning company’s approach is to assemble a “dream team of vendors,” drawing from their deep well of local relationships. Founder, Vanna, and creative director, Paige, treat their work a bit like a courtship, setting up a “first date” to get to know potential clients, quickly following up with a personalized proposal, and progressing the partnership in stride with the happy couple.

High Beam Events

High Beam offers a diverse suite of event planning services, including experiential and corporate events, and SXSW-specific planning. For weddings, the company offers three tiers of services: “month-of coordinating” (logistics), “partner planning” (vendors), or “full-service.” The company’s large team of planners brings diverse experience from across the event planning and management industry, so it’s easy to find a planning partner well-suited to your needs and vision.

Modern Whimsy

As the name suggests, Modern Whimsy founder, Mandy, takes a “whimsical” approach to wedding planning, style, and design, creating events that are uniquely personalized, and bring fun, surprise and delight to your guests. Both “mid-level” and full wedding planning are available, whether you need help finalizing details or planning the wedding from scratch. A special offering from Modern Whimsy is wedding day yoga, with classes that can be tailored for brides, grooms, and/or the whole wedding party. Mandy is also a veteran, former Army Sergeant, and watercolor artist.
